WHAT IS CEFIRO?

​As a Spanish & Portuguese graduate student organization, we serve as a cultural, linguistic and professional network for graduate students of Spanish & Portuguese in the Department of Classic and Modern Languages and Literature at Texas Tech University. The organization also promotes cultural and literary awareness of the Spanish and Portuguese speaking world. This year (2021) we are hosting the XXII Annual Virtual Conference and publishing the Volume n. 16. Check Journal page for information.

The 2021 Virtual Céfiro Conference will explore how practice, teaching and professionalization interface with the academic disciplines of Luso-Hispanic Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies as they are conceived within graduate curricula today.
